Well to start off, I have taken a rest day today. I've been working out for the past 4 days and today just felt like a good day to give my body the day off. I think it's important to remember to give yourself that. I do admit, I always feel better when I work out, however, I needed today.
I have an appointment this morning with an RA/Lupus doctor. This is the 2nd doctor I am going to see about this. The first doctor said I tested positive for Lupus but then said I didn't have Lupus. It's complicated. So I'm going this morning to get a second opinion.
I bring this up because dealing with the pain I get in my joints has an effect on my exercise. If I have a bad night with pain, I wake up sore the next morning. Or several times a week I'll wake up with swelling in hands that are sensitive to touch. It's a problem that's effecting my productivity and it's important to my health that I get treated, no matter what the diagnosis is.
I have also decided to join weight watchers. The two closest girlfriends I have are also joining so it's going to be exciting to have them alongside with me. I go to my first meeting Saturday morning. I will not be going to the meetings regularly because of sports with my son and my husbands work schedule, but I won't need to because I'll have all the motivation I need already. I'm really looking forward to it.
